Guess what came to visit our home? No, not the black bears seen in Princeton, paper wasps. This big ball of swarming paper wasps was a new one for me. Here is a picture of a 12 inch paper wasp nest we discovered in a bush on the side of house. It gives you that fight or flight kind of feeling when you get close to it. I flew then sent my husband out for some wasp spray.
If you see one of these, call a pro or do some research on the internet about the proper way to spray them. Paper wasps are very aggressive so don’t disturb them during the day. Check the eaves in your house, these wasps love to build homes there. If you do choose to spray them, do so after dawn when the wasps are inactive. Good luck and Bee Safe
