There are so many reasons to love spending time in Hopewell this Summer. The annual block party was a great time this year. We loved the changed layout that offered more space to mingle and what seemed like non-stop passing of Nomad Pizza (yum) to soak up the booze. Even though the wine selection could have been much better (or local), it kind went well in our new style beer mug. The beer had some serious flow on the back parking lot and the band got some of Hopewell’s finest hitting the dance floor. It is clear that Hopewell knows how to throw and party and how to feed us!
If you want to get more from the boro, plan to come out to Food Truck Friday which is back on Friday June 26th and Friday September 11th (5pm-9pm). This is the third Food Truck Friday hosted by the Hopewell Boro Rec Department and is a great way to unwind after a long week and meet up with some friends for some awesome food and great music.
We are excited to check out a new truck in the line-up, The Tot Cart which hooks up gourmet tater tots like their “Swicy” which are Tots drizzled with Sweet Chili Ketchup.
Other local favorites will be there like Nomad Pizza, and Four Daughters Franks. If you want barbecue plan to hit up the Oink & Moo or for a lobster roll, the Surf and Turf Truck returns.
Who doesn’t love cheese curds? The Cow and the Curd will be frying up their cheese curds and for those with a sweet tooth, Cupcake Carnivale and Nina’s Waffles and Ice Cream will be serving up their sugary desserts. The line-up for September will be sent out at a later time.
The Jumpers will be the musical line-up. This starts at 5pm and trucks close at 9pm. Be sure to bring cash as most of the trucks are cash only which speeds things along.
