One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. One of our favorite weekends is just around the corner. The town-wide yard sale in Hopewell Borough. You can park anywhere you choose and start on your journey though the sales. Nearly all the homes in town will be selling random items they decided to part with. In past years, we scored a few good pieces like a vintage 1970′s pole lamp, gardening equipment and a modern Geuther High chair. These sales have a good mix of antiques, art, sporting items, kids gear and other random things you didn’t know you needed.
Some sales are simply for profit while others raise money for a cause. (Animal Alliance of NJ on 2nd Street and the Family Breastfeeding Association on West Prospect St). If you are walking you’ll have plenty to look at but don’t be afraid to drive around the township near town to find a few house sales going on. If you are hosting a sale, check out our post on 25 Tips for Hosting a Successful Garage Sale.
