Princeton Daily Pastimes: 7/26

Hello Friday! It’s another weekend and we are ready, are you?
Friday night is another Hopewell Cruise Night. Take a stroll down Broad Street and check out vintage cars and trucks. Food, music and great people make this a fun event for the whole family. Starts at 5pm.

Why not head over to Lambertville after Cruise Night and check out the Friday Fireworks display? They usually go off at 9pm and barring bad weather these are always a blast. Yup, we said “blast”.(Lame pun intended).

John Popper is headlining the Readington Balloon Festival tonight with Blues Traveler. The annual event goes on all weekend so you can take your pick of what day to attend. Each day is full of awesome events starting with morning mass balloon launches, loads of entertainment for kids, food vendors and local merchants. Evenings will have another launch and wrap up with a live concert. (REO Speedwagon & R5) Tickets should be purchased in advance here.

Lucky for us we have a great selection of farm markets around us. Why not try out the Pennington Farmer’s Market or a great local farm market right around the corner, Blue Moon Acres . If you are in another section of Princeton try out the West Windsor Farmer’s Market located at the Princeton Junction Train Station.

Did you know you could rent boats at Mercer County Park? $15/Hour will get you a row or pedal boat both of which hold 4 people. For $20/Hour you can try out a kayak or canoe. This is a great lake and the park offers a lot of parking and having a rental means you don’t have to haul your own gear. Get out take advantage of this great park and good weather we have coming up. Saturday & Sunday from 12-6pm.
